1) Smart volume (sv): the volume traded by institutions

2) SV/Vol: the percentage of the institutional trading volume in the daily trading volume, which represents the level of eagerness.

3) Average smart trades: the sv divide the numbers of institutional trades, which represents the intensity of trading.A higher intensity means a higher determination.

How to use smart money monitor?

Generally, if a notable increase of SV/Vol takes place with a large smart volume, the stock may experience a higher volatility in couples of weeks. it will be more helpful, when you analyze a stock with pro signal (a technical view) and smart follow (the institutional flow).

Here is the case:

On June 27th, the trading volume of 'OPEN' stood at 182.4 million, surging significantly from 74.1 million in the previous trading day. Among this, institutional trading volume climbed from 16 million the prior day to 110 million. In a penny stock that is normally illiquid, this can be regarded as a sign of institutional accumulation.
